If leading the University of Florida men's golf team to an SEC title wasn't enough, senior Bank Vongvanij was named to the Palmer Cup team last week.
The former Bradenton Academy standout placed fifth in giving the Gators their first SEC Championship in eight years, according to the UF Athletic Department.
Vongvanij joins seven other players on Team USA for the 2011 edition of the annual competition against Europe.
The match-play event is slated for June 9-11 at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.
The United States leads the all-time series 7-6-1 named in Arnold Palmer's honor.
